Trip to Grandma & Grandpa Nielson's

Since it's April and the snow hasn't completly melted, Brad hasn't started farming. It has been really nice because he took off 2 or 3 weeks and got some stuff for me done around the house. He was staring down another week of more honey do's so we packed up and headed to his parents house instead. We had such a fun week. Candice and Blake were on spring break so it was good timing. We went fishing ( well if you consider the fact that they had the poles, water and a boat- but know fishing line). That played in the sand hills, rode tractors and had a hot dog and smore roast. How can you compete with farm life. The boys were in heaven. Grandma made Ryker anything he requested. We had a wonderful time.

Easter Sunday

Doesn't Ryker look thrilled to be all dressed up. The past couple months Ryker has become very paticular about what he wears. He thinks if his jeans have holes in them that he is cool. He is constantly saying "Mom, I don't like that, it doesn't make me look cool." How does a 4 year old know anything about being "cool?" At a young age he would tell me if he liked what I was wearing or not. He notices when I get my hair colored or cut. I thought I would always be able to pick out his clothes and dress him how I would like, boy was I wrong. I still win when it comes to church or anything I don't want him looking like a homeless child for, but this is the look I usually get. Aren't my boys handsome!!

Trip to Grandma & Grandpa Sillito's

The boys and I as well as my sister Courtney and her daughter Taylee drove to Boise and flew the rest of the way to Seattle. We were quite the show for everyone at the airport. The two of us trying to keep 3 little ones happy as well as juggle all the luggage. We were tired and were very relieved when we finally made it to my parents house. We surprised my dad for his 60th birthday. Many of my aunts and uncles as well as my Grandma also came to surprise him too. We had such a fun time. The boys enjoyed every minute of it. Grandma of course spoiled them as usual. Since there was still snow at our house the boys loved being outside in the 50 degree weather, it felt tropical after being in Rexburg.

Big surprise, another injury

Everyone who knows Conner well suggests that he wear a helment at all times. He has had previosly stiches, cuts, bruises, sprained ankle, many bloddy noses and bloody lips. These pictures are from a simple rug burn. It probably would have healed quickly but Conner picked and picked at his scab. His chin looked like this for almost a month. Finally, my sister-in-law Heather suggested liquid band-aid which finally healed the nasty chin. His chin still gets bright red when it's cold outside. A couple days ago we made the boys beds into bunk beds. We have had several injuries from both boys already. I guess thats what having a boy is all about. I use to get queasy with all the blood, now that it's almost a daily occurence I've gotten tough. It makes Brad proud!!

Conner's 2nd Birthday (Just 2 months late)

Conner turned 2 the end of December. He had Lightning McQueen cupcakes ( well kinda). We went sledding on his birthday. He was so worn out, that we found him passed out in the sled while it was snowing. Poor kid! He has definatley been in and out of the terrible two's for awhile. He is gaining quite a personality and has been so funny. Conner knows how to "work" his mama. He still cuddles and kisses me often. Just latley he has really enjoyed playing and pretending with Ryker, they play well most of the time.

Lost in all the snow

We have gotten so much snow this winter. There is probably only a couple feet, but with the drifts it is more like 15 ft deep. We have gone sledding with the boys a few times and each time we are getting smarter. First time we went we had a rope and pulled the boys on the sled up the hill. The next few times we used a snowmobile to pull them. Ryker and Conner have really enjoyed it. It really feels like winter here in Rexburg.
