The baby is on the move

Our Brynlee doll is walking. She has been standing on her own for a few months now, but was more timid than the boys were when it came to walking. The boys have been her motivaters. We are so thrilled she reached this milestone. Just in time for me to put up the Christmas tree. She sure has brought sweetness to her brothers, they adore her.

This is taped up in his room above his bed, Brad and I had a good laugh when we found it. This past week must have been a "Say No to Drugs" week, at least I hope so.

Serious Superhero's and a baby Zebra

I think Halloween is right up there with Christmas for my boys favorite holiday. Costumes ideas were easy, they knew Batman and Robin were the only way to go. We had some intense pictures taking and lots of action shots. Hope you enjoy!

Nielson Family Reunion

What a fun filled weekend we had together. Rick, Lana and Blake drove the long drive to Rexburg on Wensday. Wensday afternoon the girls all went to lunch together and did a bit of shopping, I think we all needed that. Thursday the kids decoarted cookies and the guys went shotgun shooting and we just hung out. Friday we went bowling as a family and had a surprise party for Blake's 18th Birthday, 18 really? The kids had a great time. Dave, Alea and Avery were sick for almost the whole time, what a bummer! Even Greg, Brooke and there girls came too. We had lots of fun and laughs and good memories were made. Can't wait to do it again! I didn't get many pictures taken because taking pictures of the guys is like pulling teeth.

Been gone too long

I absolutely love this time of year. The smell of Fall- Carmel corn, banana bread, Carmel apples dipped in nuts. The leaves are changing and the weather is still decent. But best of all is Harvest is OVER! After a very cold spell and a couple rain storms, the potatoes are out of the ground and safely stored away. So many changes this fall have happened. First, Brad has been all alone during grain and potato harvest. This was a big change but such a growing opportunity for him and of course he did a fantastic job. Second, he was released from the Bishopric on campus. Such mixed emotions for both of us. I am so thrilled to be seeing him more and hand off Brynlee during sacrament meeting, but will miss all the fun activities we experienced with the college students as well as the friendships we made with the other families in the Bishopric. Life is full of changes. Here are just a couple of pictures I took during Harvest and a couple of the kids at home.

Brad is still at Mt and the kids are in bed so I have a minute to post a couple of my favorite pictures of the evening. Lynn Clark took them a couple weeks ago and did a great job.

Thankful

Most days I don't think of anything but the things on the calender and the every day stuff, and then every once in awhile I will have one of those days where I realize how fortunate and blessed I really am. Usually it comes with tragedy in your own life or someone close, thankfully neither are the case today. I attended the temple this morning and my purpose was a little more clearer. I just looked at my children tonight and realized how very blessed I am. I looked at my husband for the brief 2 minutes I saw him in between work and church meetings and realized Life is GOOD.
